His scratches are reminiscent of the sound of the golden era of hip-hop - just like the g-funk synth solo in the middle of the tune. The video, shot by the band itself in the DIY spirit, using an old VHS camera dug out of a garage, is a nod to a lo-fi aesthetic as well as expression of fascination with amateur C-grade film productions. The origins of Klawo go back to the second half of 2019, when Konstanty Kostka was invited to arrange his EP "Flądra" for a concert organized by Coastline Northern Cuts - without the use of a sampler but with a whole "live band" instead. After four months of experiments and first rehearsals it turned out that new arrangements and energy of each of the members gave "Flądra" a completely new groove, and the spontaneity based on jazz improvisation made the band play more and more to finally compose original material together. The band Klawo debuted in May 2021 with a single titled "Wdzięczność" (“Gratitude”) while also joining the roster of artists released by the independent Gdynia-based label Coastline Northern Cuts. As Jędrzej Dudek of P.Unity writes, "Klawo reaches into the old closet, but the one without skeletons. They are grandfathered by Herbie Hancock and fellow devotees of gruff 70's jazz.
